1st day in Pucón

3 hours after the farewell of Andrea & Pius we went to Pucón, which is situated 10 hours by bus to the south of Santiago. Pucón is the fun & adventure village of (rich) Chilean people. It impresses with its vulcanos, rivers, hot-springs and much more...www.pucon.com.

We arrived at 9:30am, hired a house and had breakfast.....

In the afternoon, they presented us their beautiful nature. ...but everyone who knows St. Anton, the small, dozy village where I come from, knows also, they have to find something better to impress me....maybe a vulcan... ;o))

...or natural hot springs in the middle of a cliffy valley....was good fun there!!! Salud! ;o)

Farewell - Andrea & Pius

Before we went to the Kitzbühl of Chile, Pucón; we had to say Good-by to Andrea and Pius, two lovely people from Switzerland. I got to know them at the language school in Santiago, where we had good fun together..... ;o)

The guys have dismissed their jobs in order to travel for 6 months. Pius had even sold car and flat!! Before they went to Santiago, the have already been to Thailand, Argentina and Fiji Islands. Now they went on to the north of Chile. How cool is that??? ;o)
We miss you here....

Arrival and first week in Santiago....

Heeeyy guys, first of all: Sorry, I couldn't meet all you of you before I went to Santiago. As you know I have passed my last exam at Uni at the end of September and went on to Chile 5 days later... Everything has turned out as quite stressful(L) ;o) at the end. So sorry again, I couldn't meet all of you, but I am thinking about a come-back-party in March..... ;o)

Now, it's almost a week ago, when I arrived in Santiago. After the stress I had in Austria, the first thing I have done here was NOTHING!!! I've spent last weekend just with chilling and visiting some places in the city and having fun with my flatmates Cristian, Javier y Uwe.

On Monday I have started my Spanish course at school - I almost became desperate after the first day, because I forgot soooo many things after not learning the language for 2 years and should start to work in 2 weeks.........anyway in the meantime I've picked up plenty of lines and I also feel comfortable with the situation - my Spanish becomes better and better every day! 8-)))

Yesterday night we went to the miercolespo-party (http://www.miercolespo.cl/). They are organized by international students who meet every week in a different bar or club. These people here are crazy here!! Cristian and I arrived a couple of minutes before 12 in the club, which was almost empty at that time. Most of them arrived between 1 and 2 a.m.....you can imagine how long we've been there..... ;o)

Anyway to get up was quite difficult this morning....but don't worry, I made it to school! ;o)

Tomorrow I am going with Daniel (Switzerland), Uwe and one girl from the Netherlands (don't know her yet) to Pucon (www.pucon.com) for white-water rafting, hiking up the vulcan there and people also told me, some hotsprings should be there.... if it works I'll try to blog some pictures via mobile directly to http://schlaubivaachile.blogspot.com ... It's a bus trip to the south for about 11 hours - we are leaving tomorrow night and will be in Pucon on Saturday morning. There's a bank holiday on monday, so we come back on Tuesday 7:30 a.m. - hurrying home, having a shower and going to school...... ;o)

Keep me posted from back home or where ever you live at the moment.....either by email, facebook, skype, phone (+56974868802), xing or whatever.... ;)
